Event Officer

The following requirements are additional to those of an IMSIG Steering Committee Member

Reporting

Reports to IMSIG Chair.

Location

Home working.

Nature and Purpose of the Role

To develop and co-ordinate events to promote integrated approaches to management and management systems.

Main Duties

  1. Execute the IMSIG strategic plan.

  2. Identify events needed to promote integrated approaches to management.

  3. Develop programmes to meet the needs of events to promote integrated approaches to management.

  4. Co-ordinate events to promote integrated approaches to management.

  5. Engage interested parties to attend events to promote integrated approaches to management.

  6. Capture trends and expectations, from interested parties, relating to integrated approaches to management.

  7. Work with other steering committee members to provide events to promote awareness and knowledge on integrated approaches to management.

  8. Engage and work with event organisers, as necessary, to achieve event objectives.

  9. Produce a brief performance statement of area of responsibility for inclusion in the main IMSIG annual report.

  10. Comply with IMSIG formal governance arrangements.

  11. IMSIG Steering Committee Member Duties.

Time commitment

About 3 hours per month.

Desirable Qualifications

Refer to Committee Member Role.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Event co-ordination skills.

Awareness and understanding of MSS 1000.

Presentation skills.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Awards

Approximately 30 hours per year, depending on professional body.
