Training and Mentoring Officer

The following requirements are additional to those of an IMSIG Steering Committee Member

Issue 1

Reporting

Reports to IMSIG Chair.

Strong liaison with IMSIG Event Officer.

Strong liaison with IMSIG Membership Officer.

Location

Home working.

Nature and Purpose of the Role

To co-ordinate training and mentoring support for IMSIG members and others.

Main Duties

  1. Execute the IMSIG strategic plan.

  2. Identify training needed to support the development of IMSIG members and those interested in integrated approaches to management.

  3. Develop programmes to meet the identified training needs.

  4. Liaise with third party training providers, as necessary.

  5. Work with the IMSIG Event Officer and IMSIG Membership Officer to co-ordinate and deliver training programmes related to integrated approaches to management.

  6. Develop and engage IMSIG members in a mentoring process to support development of skills and knowledge related to integrated approaches to management.

  7. Report to the IMSIG Steering Committee on training performance.

  8. Produce a brief performance statement of area of responsibility for inclusion in the main IMSIG annual report.

  9. Comply with IMSIG formal governance arrangements.

  10. IMSIG Steering Committee Member Duties.

Time Commitment

About 3 hours per month.

Desirable Qualifications

Refer to Committee Member Role.

Quality and risk management practitioner.

Integrated approaches to management.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Awareness and understanding of MSS 1000

Development of training programmes.

Learning and development including online methodologies appropriate to top management, management professionals and general personnel.

Development of education and training modules and materials.

Mentoring processes.

Nothing additional to IMSIG Steering Committee Duties Post Description.

CPD awards:

Approximately 30 hours, depending on professional body.
